OPO - Monitoring the reflectivity and scattering of telescope's coatings

OPO | Optical metrology instruments

Who are we?

Welcome on the website of OPO, manufacturer of reflectometers and scatterometers for the monitoring of telescope's mirror coatings.

Our reflectometers / scatterometers CT7 and CT7a are benchmarks in the field, they are the improved successors of the highly regarded Iris instrument. All these instruments were conceived and developed by Dr Sc Daniel Malaise - for those with a good memory, OPO was previously known as DMO Optical Solutions.

We are a small research and development workshop exclusevely specialized in producing the most accurate reflectometers and scatterometers for the quality monitoring of telescope mirror's coatings.

Last news:

New release january 2021

As of january 2021, the new Cherenkov version of the CT7 reflectometer scatterometer is available, with highly accurate measurements of reflectivity at wavelength bands down to 308nm, especially developed at the request of institutes studying the Cherenkov radiations.
